Same problem with bug stopping gameplay

I made it through the first two scenes (the cemetery and the mental hospital) and was really enjoying this as an old school point and click adventure game. Well, probably over-narrated, and character movement and scene transition take a while, but I still had fun and thought I got my moneys worth. Then, in a cut scene at the sheriffs office during the third act, the game repeatedly froze. No possible workaround, no way to load from an earlier point, just had to start over. Im not. BTW, this happened before and after the install of iOS 8.1.1. 2/5 because it was entertaining for a while....

Ed: just realized Pedestal Beck describes the exact same bug in his write up. However, looks like he will give you another chance.
